Montclair State University has a rich history in education, having been founded in 1908 as a two-year “Normal School” in response to the growing demand for professionally trained teachers.
Today, the College for Education and Engaged Learning offers a myriad of undergraduate programs, combined degree programs, and graduate programs.
In addition, CEEL has many centers and institutes that directly impact not only the development of and learning of our students but also support, educate, and elevate those in our surrounding communities.
Our faculty and staff are engaged in research via publication, presentations, and grant proposals.
