School of Communication and Media

Welcome to the School of Communication and Media at Montclair State University. Here at Montclair, students work with dedicated faculty who bring an impressive range of professional and academic experience to the classroom. Students prepare for meaningful careers in our innovative academic programs, and they’ll be encouraged to sample from across the curricular spectrum, connecting the dots in our increasingly converged media environment.

Students will build professional portfolios that prepare them not simply for their first job, but for their lives and careers. They’ll be challenged to study the theories and research that help us to understand not simply what, but also why. And of course, students will do this in the most technologically advanced communication and media learning environment found on any university campus.

College of the Arts Donor Challenge
Thanks to the generosity of members of the College of the Arts Advisory Board, do we have a challenge for you! Make a gift to the program area you feel most passionate about (John J. Cali School of Music, School of Communication and Media, Department of Art and Design or Department of Theater and Dance), and help unlock a larger gift for that program. The total pool is $30,000 broken down into 4 funding levels. The program area with the most donors will receive the 1st place funding award of $10,500, followed by 2nd place of $8,500, 3rd place of $6,500 and 4th place of $4,500.Good luck!
