As Dean of the College of the Arts, it is my privilege to connect with alumni to share how we are making an impact, providing an exceptional transformational education for our students and empowering them to make the most of their education. 

Thanks to the support and generosity of our donors, Montclair State University continues to deliver rigorous programs and life-changing opportunities. Some of the exciting developments at the College of the Arts include:

• Breaking new ground: Our new building for the School of Communication and Media, dubbed “Hollywood East,” provides students with the opportunity to learn and grow in the most technologically advanced broadcast and media complex at any university in North America.
• Earning high marks: Our Music Therapy was ranked No. 3 by The Best Schools and the program, now in its 47th year, follows a No. 5 ranking of our BFA program in Dance last year by OnStage. 
• Attracting diverse talent: With both outstanding programs and exceptional facilities, Montclair State is a true “opportunity institution.” The socio-economic diversity of our students in the College of the Arts reflects the rich tapestry of the population of New Jersey. Many come from modest incomes with more than 40 percent are Pell Grant eligible, and more than 30 percent are the first in their family to pursue a college degree.
