Swimming & Diving
The program just concluded one of the best seasons in recent memory. The women finished with a 7-3 dual meet record while the men were 6-2 on the year. The '22-'23 campaign was highlighted at the Metropolitan Championship at Rutgers which saw sophomore Julie Tiedemann winning the 500 yard freestyle (5:08.59) and freshman teammate Rourke Peralta winning the 50 yard freestyle (23.65) with an NCAA "B' cut. Julie and Rourke broke MSU school records in winning these events. Spenser Dubois broke two school records which included racing to an NCAA "B" cut in the 100 breaststroke (55.26).
Head Coach Brian McLaughlin
On behalf of each one of our swimmers and divers, we want to thank all of our friends and alumni for your support and belief in our mission. We strive to give our student-athletes a complete experience and your support helps us achieve that goal. The continued upgrades to our pool and team rooms have made for an amazing "home away from home" for our athletes. The team continues to reap the benefits of some incredible winter training trips because of your support. It was fun watching Swimming & Diving last year battling all day long with Basketball to see which team raised the most money / had the greatest number of donors!
