Track & Field

The Montclair State track and field programs have produced National Champions during both indoor and outdoor campaigns. The men’s team has earned 10 National Champions, including current Assistant Coach George Alexandris who won the long jump in 2018. Heather Gearity won back-to-back national titles in the 400-meter hurdles in the 2012-2013 outdoors season while Monique Riddick won three shot put crowns including both indoor and outdoor in 2009. John Griffith has qualified for the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships in 2022 and Damian Valentine went to the Outdoor Championships in 2021 and 2022.


Head Coach Ian Carter:

We are calling on all of our friends and alumni of the team to help us achieve our goal of 25 donors. Any amount makes a difference! Your support will help us in providing a complete experience for our student-athletes. The money raised will be put towards new gear, travel, and any other needs that will help us recruit and compete within the conference and at a higher D3 level. Our student-athletes are passionate about competing in Track & Field and representing our University. We hope you will help the team reach our new goals and support us. Thank you!
