The English Department Research and Innovation Initiative
This initiative will allow the Department of English to better prepare students for life after graduation in three key ways.
First, it will allow students to gain paid research experience working on faculty and departmental projects—including opportunities for travel and archival work.
Second, it will enable faculty to engage in curricular revision and development by financing training, guest speakers, and collaboration, ultimately leading to a more enriching experience for students.
Third, it will support efforts at creating community engagement and community partnerships, with the goal of broadening the department’s outreach and creating volunteer, internship, and career opportunities for students.
