Swimming & Diving
We wrapped up another memorable season with our women ending with a 7-3 record and our men going 6-3 against some very talented opponents. Our quest to challenge our teams continues and included a mid season Invite at Gettysburg College and a dual meet in New London, CT with the US Coast Guard Academy and Roger Williams University (RI). The New Jersey Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships in Hampton, Virginia has turned into one of the top three or four conferences in all of NCAA Division III Swimming; we are extremely proud to be a part of this organization. There were lots of great swims that included Rourke Peralta achieving a n NCAA "B" cut in the 50 Free with a 23.48. Additionally, several school records were broken this season:
Peter Jarzab 100 Fly 49.08
Andrew Pearce 100 Back 51.44
Michael Salvatori 200 Back 1:51.11
Vinny Terzo 500 Free 4:37.18
Head Coach Brian McLaughlin
"On behalf of each one of our swimmers and divers, we want to thank you for your continued support and belief in these two programs. Our athletes get a complete experience that they truly appreciate. The continued upgrades to our pool, our training trip to San Juan this past January, and a host of other important pieces of a season are not possible without your unwavering support. It will be fun once again watching Swimming and Diving do battle against Football and Basketball on the "One Day For Montclair'' leaderboard. Thanks again for your unwavering support. Our aim remains the same: to make you proud of being a part of Montclair Swimming & Diving."
