The Montclair State men’s basketball team had one of its most successful seasons in program history this past season. We were crowned the NJAC Regular Season Champions after a 14-4 conference record and went on to win the NJAC Tournament for our first conference championship since 2002-03. With a National Power Index (NPI) in the top 15 in the nation heading into the NCAA Tournament, we were selected to host the first two rounds of the Division III tournament and won our first-ever home playoff game in program history, defeating Utica, 79-57. Our coaching staff was selected as the 2024-25 NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Individually, junior Jacob Morales was a First Team All-NJAC player, an All-Region and All-Metropolitan selection, and led the nation in three-pointers made with 108 on the season, which was also a program record. Senior Mike Jackson was an All-NJAC and All-Metropolitan player for us and finished his career with 300 three-pointers made, the most of any Red Hawk in history by 132. Kieran Flanagan was also an All-Metropolitan player this season and wrapped up his career with 117 games played and started, both of which are career records for us. The future is also bright for us as freshman Kabrien Goss was named the NJAC Rookie of the Year for us this season. Your donation supports travel, equipment, recruiting, and other necessary resources to help grow our program.
