At Montclair State University, we are committed to preparing the next generation of legal professionals through our dynamic Pre-Law Program. With a robust academic foundation—including our Jurisprudence, Law & Society major, Pre-Law Studies minor, and Justice Studies major—our students gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and its impact on society. These programs equip students with the knowledge and critical thinking skills needed to excel in law school and in legal careers.
Beyond academics, our program provides invaluable career preparation. We offer personalized pre-law advising, guiding students on course selection, LSAT preparation, law school applications, and letters of recommendation. Additionally, we connect students with law school admissions officials through our annual New Jersey Law Admissions Day, where over 40 law schools from throughout the United States engage directly with Montclair students and alumni.
To expand opportunities for aspiring legal professionals, we seek support to enhance our program with:

- Tutoring services for pre-law coursework.
- Internship scholarships - providing a stipend to students who are gaining valuable experience working in unpaid internships (including with courts and legislators).
