Have You Met Pebbles Yet?!

Pebbles, the pupscot of Montclair State University, has graced the campus with her cuteness since February 2023 and is on a mission to spread Red Hawk Pride to all. Pebbles is a mini labradoodle with the biggest heart. She attends tons of campus activities with her handlers and passes out stickers and trading cards in exchange for pets! Many students miss their four-legged friends at home, and even those who don’t have a pet get so much joy from Pebbles when she’s around. While dogs visit campus for stress management programs once or twice a semester, Pebbles provides that support all year round! To continue her incredible work and ensure she can keep bringing smiles to our students, we need your help to support her ongoing needs.

How Students Benefit from Pebbles

• Seeing her at campus events—she always brings a smile!
• Attending her birthday in November and her Gotcha Day in February, plus the annual Puppy Parade!
• Following her on social media—she has quite the personality!
• Requesting her for their event through her online request form.
• Attending a Let’s Talk's session, Pebbles occasionally is there for support.
• Participating in community service events, like making blankets for local animal shelters.
• Attending her events to learn more about mental health resources, including how to request an emotional support animal in the residence halls.

  Additionally, we are beginning to collaborate with the CARE Team to provide extra support for students struggling. The goal is for the CARE Team to identify students who need some one-on-one time with Pebbles and boost their serotonin.

How Can You Support?

Pebbles is officially a therapy dog, bringing comfort and joy to students all year round! Team Pebbles has been making an impact for a year and a half, and we’re ready to expand. Your support will help us:

• Continue to provide fun giveaways like stickers, trading cards, and stress-relief items.
• Enhance mental health programming to help students de-stress.
• Grow our community service initiatives, including collaborations with local animal shelters.
• Support our dedicated student handlers, who work tirelessly to care for Pebbles.
• Explore new ways to spread Pebbles’ magic, like a Pebbles plush!
