The all-time winningest program amongst football teams in New Jersey, the Montclair State football program has a rich tradition. The Red Hawks won the NJAC Championship during the abbreviated Spring 2021 campaign and have played in the NCAA Tournament 10 times. Sam Mills, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of their 2022 class on August 6. Mills played professionally with the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, and his motto of “Keep Pounding” is featured prominently inside the Panzer Athletic Fitness Center.

This spring, the Montclair State University Football team will embark on an exciting and historic trip to Ottawa, Canada, to play the Ottawa Sooners on May 16th.
