Swimming & Diving
We just concluded a memorable 24-'25 season. Our men's team had a great showing in meets this season with a 7-2 record. As a team, they broke eight school records. Michael Salvatori broke the 200 freestyle, 200 IM, and 400 IM records, with his 400 IM time also being an NCAA "B" cut time. Bobby Freece broke the 100 freestyle record, and Vincent Terzo broke the 500 freestyle record. As for our women, they also enjoyed tremendous success this season. We compiled a 10-2 meet record this season and finished fourth out of 10 teams at the NJAC Championships with seven medal finishes. Rourke Peralta won the 100 freestyle and placed second in the 50 freestyle. Her 100 freestyle time earned her an NCAA "B" cut time and a selection to the NCAA Division III Championship meet, the first of any Red Hawk swimmer since 1997. Abby Brock earned a gold medal with her victory in the 100 breaststroke. Julie Tiedemann (1650 freestyle), Marianne Tassanari (400 IM), and Audrey Hitchens (1-meter dive) all earned bronze medals with third-place finishes in their events. It's a very exciting time for everyone connected with our program.
Head Coach Brian McLaughlin
"On behalf of each one of our swimmers and divers, we want to thank you for your continued support and belief in these two programs. Our athletes get a complete experience that they truly appreciate. The continued upgrades to our pool, our training trip to San Juan this past January, and a host of other important pieces of a season are not possible without your unwavering support. It will be fun once again watching Swimming and Diving do battle against Football and Basketball on the "One Day For Montclair'' leaderboard. Thanks again for your unwavering support. Our aim remains the same; to make you proud of being a part of Montclair Swimming & Diving."
